Frozen Desert Hiking
A 5 days 4 nights exclusive hiking itinerary lead by local mongol camel herdres, hosted in their very homes. Flanked by a camel school you will join the dream-time frozen desert experience exploring dune ranges high as much as 400m.
Imagine an unreal experience hiking in total silence among mega dunes covered in snow, in a landscape dotted with frozen lakes and circled by the infinite horizon. Escorted by your camel caravan you will cross this dreamy place, one of world’s remotest. We added the Frozen Great Wall, for this specific departure. enjoy one of the greatest landmarks on the planet in a very unusual atmosphere.
*The accommodations are simple. We will often be hosted in local houses, in rooms with multiple beds ( possibilities of SLG/DBL rooms, with private baths on request). Every rooms is heated by stove. Very simple squat toilets are located outside the houses.

Included: Food on the day by day B/L/D (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) indicate the meals included, Lodging, Guides & Camels, Transfers & Jeeps assistance, Transfers, entrance tickets and specialized guide to the great wall.
Not Included: Tips, Personal Insurance, Internal Flights/Transporation to and from Zhangye.

The itinerary will run on a minimum of 6 participants.
Important notes
Few important details to frame the experience:
~ In the desert (including the hosts' houses) simple toilets are available outside the accommodation premises, and no showers.
~ Bring a warm sleeping bag
~ Hike level is medium to strong. From 10 to 25 km per day of hike are planned. In case of fatigue camels will give you a ride. In severe cases jeeps will be of assistance
~ Lunch will be often extremely light, so to allow a continue trek during the day
~ Rooms are provided with multiple beds only - SGL / DBL options are on request only (first comes first served basis) and not guaranteed. Subject to extra fee
~ During December - January -15/-30 temperature (day /night) is expected. While cold, sun is shining and do not represent an issue for the hike nor discomfort for the hikers
