HEAD OUT ON YOUR
NEXT ADVENTURE

 Distant Roads, Personal Stories

We have been traveling through the Himalayas and along the ancient trade routes of Asia for several decades. What always touches us is that these places do not ask for haste, but for attention. No destination is just a place - they are worlds full of layers, stories, rituals, and encounters. That is why we have clustered our travels around five themes. No lists or highlights, but perspectives that help to travel deeper.

Our five travel clusters

1. Silence, Ritual & Inner Space

Pilgrim paths. Prayer wheels. Morning air above a monastery roof. These routes lead you to places where silence is not emptiness, but a form of presence.→ For those seeking reflection, spiritual landscapes, and slow rhythms.

2. Trade, Connection & Imagination

Silk, salt, tea - these are routes of exchange and meeting. From Kashgar to Kalimpong, from Samarkand to the tea fields of Yunnan. - For travelers who want to feel history in markets, fabrics, and flavors.

3. Time, Landscape & Body

Altitude, breathing, step by step. Here the clock slows down. You move through valleys, along glaciers, and over passes.→ For those who do not want to view the landscape, but walk through it.

4. Borders, Nomads & Transition

Areas Far beyond the border post. On the edge of maps. Here, people live in motion - between cultures, climates, and stories.→ For those who want to travel through space and change at the same time

5. Taste, Tea & Hospitality

A bowl of warm tea. A shared meal in a clay house. Here you travel with your tongue, your hands, and your heart.→ For those who want to taste culture - literally.

 Experiences

A journey to the heart of an ancient tradition

The journey to the eagle hunters in the west of Mongolia deeply touched me. What started as a fascination for eagle hunting ended as an intense experience of human connection, nature, and tradition. We traveled for days through vast steppes and mountain passes, far from everything I knew. When we arrived at the home of the berkutsji (eagle hunter), we were welcomed with a warm simplicity that I will never forget. Their hospitality, their rhythm of life, the way they interact with their animals - it felt like a world that is completely in balance with itself.

The moment I stood face to face with the majestic golden eagle, resting on her master's arm, was magical. You feel the power of the bird, but also the deep respect these people have for their animals and their traditions. In the early morning chill, I rode on a horse through a landscape that was so quiet that you could hear your own breath. And then, out of nowhere, the moment the eagle takes flight – powerful, purposeful, beautiful. This trip was not an ordinary vacation. It was an encounter with a culture that lives in harmony with the elements, and a way of being that will stay with me for a long time. I came back with beautiful photos, stories, and a deeper appreciation for the richness of human heritage. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to look beyond the familiar and is willing to be touched by authenticity and beauty.
